Justice and public safety officials, academic and agency researchers, technical developers, operational managers and practitioners, and justice reform advocates from local, state and federal agencies and organizations across the nation will benefit.
Why Should I Attend?
You will engage with leaders, subject matter experts, researchers, and colleagues from across the nation in timely and informed discussions of critical issues in justice information management and operations:
- Technology: Facial recognition, managing cyber risks, data dashboards, autonomous vehicles, automated record sealing, criminal history records management, and more.
- Policy: Principles of technology policy, managing accountability in police use of technology (AI, license-plate readers, drones), justice/health information sharing, criminal justice reform, improving disposition reporting by courts, NICS background checks, and more.
- Research: Measuring criminal justice technology ROI, desistance and recidivism, measuring accuracy/value of facial recognition, data quality metrics, research value of NIBRS data, and more.
- Case Study: Presentations focusing on real-world efforts to plan and implement technologies, adopt reforms, revise or reinvent operations, engage with communities of interest, and respond to new legislative or policy mandates. Explore the technical, operational, and policy challenges and successes with the people who were involved.
